Combines organizing, advocacy, and direct services to promote equitable and affordable housing, with programs that include financial coaching, free tax preparation, and support navigating government assistance and benefits for low- and moderate- income communities.
Builds a network of mutual aid support among neighbors through free grocery and produce distributions, supply drives, cash assistance, and direct services for Gowanus and nearby NYCHA residents.
Provides nutritious meals, wellness programming, cultural activities, and civic engagement events at older adult centers while advocating for language access, healthcare, and housing older adults in South Brooklyn.
Feeds hundreds of East Brooklyn families each week through a neighborhood food pantry offering weekly food distributions, emergency food assistance, and community outreach.
Organizes Jewish communities to advocate for housing justice, migrant rights, caregiver support, and to challenge systemic racism through grassroots campaigns, political education, direct action, and strategic partnerships.
Mobilizes a membership network of over 100 aging and senior service organizations to strengthen services older New Yorkers rely on—from senior centers and home-delivered meals to caregiver support and affordable housing—while advocating for city and state funding that helps Brooklyn elders age equitably and with dignity.
