Improves the well-being of the pan-Asian American community – especially older adults, small business owners, and immigrants – through research, policy advocacy, public awareness, and capacity-building for nonprofits.
Develops action-focused research and policy advocacy that centers the experience of BIPOC communities to help shape public discourse around public education, the environment, immigration, and economics.
Supports young immigrant women and girls transitioning to life in the US through peer mentorship, legal advocacy, mental health support, job programs, and parenting assistance to bolster their independence.
Supports new mothers and their infants in an effort to reduce infant mortality and improve maternal and infant health outcomes through community-based activities for populations disproportionately affected by poor birth, infant and health outcomes.
Preserves and develops affordable housing, enforces quality housing management practices, promotes small business economic development, and links Carroll Gardens residents to social services.
Assists low-income immigrant families, particularly South Asian and Muslim families, through immigration legal services, informative legal clinics, ESL & citizenship classes, and food distribution.
Publishes community-led journalism for and about New York City’s immigrant communities to advocate for immigrant rights through policy change, demands for accountability, and research.
Supports Haitian immigrant youth in New York City through educational assistance, leadership development, community-building opportunities and partnerships with local schools and cultural organizations.
