Combats income-based housing discrimination with tenant-led tech tools, direct advocacy, and data analysis that hold landlords accountable and promote the rights of low-income voucher holders.
Builds power among low-income people affected by HIV/AIDS, the drug war, mass incarceration, and homelessness through community organizing, leadership development, policy advocacy, direct services, and research.
Provides free civil legal services and a citywide pro bono network, helping low-income older adults in Brooklyn plan for their medical and financial futures and navigate systems that often exclude them.
Organizes low-wage and immigrant workers across industries including construction, cleaning, food and app delivery services, tobacco processing, and more to advocate for fair wages and safe working conditions through education, leadership development, grassroots outreach, and legislative advocacy that builds a strong labor movement.
Builds pathways for young people to actively shape democracy through peer-led, issue-driven civic engagement led by students and educators. Founded in Brooklyn in 2017, YVote works in high schools across the borough to equip the next generation of civic leaders with real-world organizing and leadership experience through voter registration drives, participatory budgeting campaigns, and school-based civic clubs.
Supports women and girls, champions gender equity, and strives to eliminate racism through housing support, leadership development, immigration services, advocacy and policy, and community engagement.
