Lunar New Year starts on Saturday, Feb. 10, and ends Saturday, Feb. 24, and there are tons of ways to celebrate right here in Brooklyn. Observed predominantly by East Asian cultures, Lunar New Year signifies the start of the lunisolar calendar and is celebrated with an abundance of food, family gatherings, and traditions that welcome prosperity and good health.

2024 is The Year of the Dragon – we wish Brooklyn nothing but luck, strength, and power this year!

There are plenty of ways to celebrate Lunar New Year across New York City’s five boroughs. Wherever you choose to celebrate, don’t forget to stop by Brooklyn Chinese-American Association’s annual New Year parade this Sunday at 11am at Sunset Park!
