“On behalf of Brooklyn Org, I want to extend our support to Brooklyn Museum Director Anne Pasternak and members of her team who have received threats and attacks over the past few weeks, including a horrific incident of vandalism at their homes on Tuesday night. The Brooklyn Museum is a critical cultural institution in our borough, and it is often at the center of and even a forum for public discourse, debate, and protest. But this should never cross the line to where its staff or board members are personally targeted. Unity is our greatest strength, and I urge us in these deeply challenging times to preserve and celebrate our cherished sense of community and embrace each other’s humanity.”
