2025 Year-End Giving Reminders For Our Donor Advisors

Dec 31st For last minute fund openings: if you mail us a check that is postmarked by December 31, 2025, it will still count for the 2025 tax year.

As we head towards the new year and you plant the seeds for your year-end giving, please refer to our upcoming giving deadlines and instructions for donor advisors at Brooklyn Org.

End Of Year Giving Deadlines

We strongly recommend you plan ahead and make your year-end contributions and grant recommendations as soon as possible via your fund portal. If you need support accessing or navigating the portal, please contact Donor Services at donorservices@brooklyn.org.

  • Friday, December 12th: Deadline to submit final DAF grant recommendations if you would like the grant to be disbursed by the end of the year. Please note that due to grant request volume it may take approximately 10 business days to process DAF grant recommendations.
  • Monday, December 29th at 5 PM: All contributions to your Donor Advised Fund must be made on or before December 29th at 5PM EST. This includes all security and transfer contributions which must also be completed by that time.

Giving To Brooklyn Org

To make a gift directly to us, there are many ways to give:

  • Giving from your Donor Advised Fund: Log into your fund portal and click the “Create Grant Request” button, and then search for “Brooklyn Org”. In the search results, find the result “Give to Brooklyn Org” and click the “Create Request” button, continuing from there.
  • By check: Please make checks out to “Brooklyn Org” and mail it to:
