Building on Brooklyn Org’s Neighborhood Listening Tours, we are now accepting proposals for Neighborhood Collective Impact projects that address trending neighborhood concerns and strengthen the capacity of local nonprofits through collaboration.
Applications are due Friday, April 4th.
Since 2022, we have visited every part of Brooklyn through our annual Neighborhood Listening Tours to hold conversations with local leaders and residents on the opportunities and challenges facing our communities. In 2024, we launched the Neighborhood Collective Impact opportunity to provide up to $25,000 each for local nonprofits to address these concerns and build collaboration.
This year, we are again seeking proposals for collective impact projects that work on identified issues. We especially invite proposals for projects that will promote community engagement, local voices, and voter participation in the 2025 municipal election. Brooklyn Org will select three proposals for project-based funding, of up to $25,000 per partnership.
Proposals should include at least two community-based nonprofits organizations partnering together to solve a local need in their neighborhood via direct services, training, base-building, or community-wide activities. Projects should advance racial justice and provide critical resources to BIPOC communities and residents who have been historically disempowered and discriminated against across Brooklyn.
