Year-End Giving Reminders for our Donor Advisors

As we head towards the new year and you plan your year-end giving, please refer to our upcoming giving deadlines and instructions for donor advisors at Brooklyn Org.

End of Year Giving Deadlines

We strongly recommend you plan ahead and make your year-end contributions and grant recommendations as soon as possible via the donor portal. If you need support accessing or navigating the portal, please contact Donor Services at donorservices@brooklyn.org.

• Friday, December 8th: Deadline to submit final DAF grant recommendations if you would like the grant to be disbursed by the end of the year. Please note that it takes approximately 10 business days to process DAF grant recommendations.
• Thursday, December 28th: All contributions to your Donor Advised Fund must be made on or before December 28th. This includes all security and transfer contributions which must also be completed by the 28th as our office is closed on December 30th and 31st.

Contributing to your DAF at Brooklyn Org

To contribute to your fund at Brooklyn Org:

• By check: Make your check out to “Brooklyn Org” with the name of the fund in the memo section of the check and mail it to:

• By stock contribution: Contact us at donorservices@brooklyn.org and include the name of your fund and the form you are requesting.
• By wire transfer: Contact us at donorservices@brooklyn.org and include the name of your fund and the form you are requesting.

Giving to Brooklyn Org

To make a gift directly to us, there are many ways to give:

• Giving from your Donor Advised Fund: Log into your donor portal and go to the “Grants” tab, and then navigate to “Recommend a Grant.” From there, select “Brooklyn Org” as the grant recipient. Under “Grant Purpose” go to “Special Instructions not to appear on the letter” and please note: “DAF to BKO transfer.”
• By check: Please make checks out to “Brooklyn Org” and mail it to:

Office Schedule

Brooklyn Org staff are available Monday-Thursday 9am-5pm EST and Fridays 9am-1pm EST. Our office will be closed on Monday, December 25th.
