Reflection on the Midterm Election Results
In partnership with Photoville, Downtown Brooklyn Partnership and Two Trees Management, Brooklyn Org has unveiled “We The People,” a photo installation featuring this year’s Brooklyn Org 25, with portraits by photographer Aundre Larrow. The installation celebrates the people, institutions and communities writing Brooklyn’s next chapter, extending the recognition beyond the Ball and into the borough’s public spaces.
The Brooklyn Org 25 is a yearly recognition of our borough’s emerging and long-time community leaders. This year’s cohort champions bold, hyper local action across three urgent issues impacting our communities:
Together, they show what lasting transformation looks like when it starts from the ground up, built on the power, joy, and determination of our people.
Since its debut last week at the 2026 Brooklyn Org Changemakers Ball, “We The People” has been installed at The Plaza at 300 Ashland, where the public can experience the portraits and learn about the honorees’ work throughout the month of November.

“This year, as our country marks its 250th anniversary, we have been thinking a lot about these three words: We The People,” shared Brooklyn Org’s President & CEO, Dr. Jocelynne Rainey. “These words are a promise: that the future of this country does not belong to someone else, it belongs to us. This exhibit features 25 extraordinary people who wake up every day and choose to make Brooklyn better. People who believe deeply in their neighbors—and then put that belief into action. This is what ‘We The People’ looks like.”

“A better world is built by the people who stand up for their communities and turn their convictions into actions,” said Sam Barzilay, creative director and co-founder of Photoville. “We believe public spaces should celebrate these changemakers, and we’re proud to partner with Brooklyn Org to bring their portraits and stories to Downtown Brooklyn, giving more people a chance to recognize the important work being done in their communities and the people behind it.”
