At Brooklyn Org we are proud to partner with leaders who believe in the potential of Brooklyn’s nonprofits — like New York State Assemblymember Brian A. Cunningham.

Assemblymember Cunningham allocated $17,500 from the FY25 State Budget to Brooklyn Org to support our Nonprofit Capacity Building programming to help small organizations strengthen and grow, and in turn help more Brooklynites.

We provide regular no-cost workshops, salons, conferences, and peer support groups to help nonprofits raise more resources, attract more supporters, and do more for Brooklyn.

“Brooklyn Org provides vital support for Brooklyn nonprofit organizations through capacity building and tutorials on how to optimize grant opportunities and apply for resources,” Assemblymember Cunningham said. “I am confident their guidance will enrich District 43 nonprofit organizations.”

Brooklyn Org is thankful to Assemblymember Cunningham for believing in our work, and for trusting in our team to meet the pressing needs of our local nonprofit sector. As our President & CEO Dr. Jocelynne Rainey shared, “One of our mottos is ‘Brooklyn Backs Brooklyn’ — and work like this is how we can expand our reach as members of Brooklyn’s communities.”
