Brooklyn Org Partners: Acknowledging Your Grant

Your grant is made possible by generous donors to Brooklyn Org. Public recognition of your grant helps to encourage future contributions to this critical community resource.

Brooklyn Org publicizes grants through the media, our website, social media, and printed materials. We request that you acknowledge your grant through your own communications channels whenever possible. Often, the media is more interested in hearing directly from a nonprofit and the people it benefits, rather than from funders alone. If we coordinate our efforts, we can be more successful in getting the word out about your work and our partnerships.

Suggested Grant Recipient Communications

• Publicize your Brooklyn Org grant in external publications (please see suggested language below)
• Include a funding credit on flyers, programs, posters, advertisements, etc.
• Contact local media, as appropriate, using a news release, email or personal phone call
• If you mention Brooklyn Org’s support on your website, please include a link to brooklyn.org using our logo where suitable (please see below for guidance on using our logo)
• Post news about your grant project on your social media channels:
• Instagram: Use a photo of your programs and tag us: @BklynOrg
• LinkedIn: Use a photo of your programs and/or a link to your website and tag Brooklyn Org

Acknowledging Your Grant

Submitting Materials

We ask that you please send us copies of press releases, publications, and media coverage that mention your grant, and tag us on social media @BklynOrg, so that we can amplify on our own channels. Further, we would like to highlight the work you do and the impact of our support in our own communications and press outreach.
