Shelley Stewart III
Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company (He/Him)
Shelley is a leader within McKinsey & Company’s Private Equity and Principal Investing practice where he serves a range of clients on Marketing and Sales related topics. He has worked with numerous privately held and publicly traded companies across the industrials and technology space to help clients identify opportunities for accelerated growth, design new go-to market models, improve effectiveness of sales-force deployment, and improve margin through comprehensive pricing programs.
Additionally, Shelley leads the McKinsey Institute for Black Economic Mobility; a think-tank focused on catalyzing cross-sector solutions to improving economic outcomes for Black individuals and families. He has published numerous articles and is a speaker on the topic. Shelley is also on the Board of Directors of the National Black MBA Association. Before joining McKinsey, Shelley worked in the financial-services industry.
He held a variety of roles at an investment banking firm, and subsequently co-founded Dreadnought Capital Management, an investment management firm where he led portfolio management. Shelley has a BA in Economics from Boston College and an MBA from Columbia University. He joined Brooklyn Org’s Board of Directors in June 2021.
