Oshadi Kelly
VP of Development & Special Events (She/Her)
Oshadi joined Brooklyn Org in February 2025. Oshadi is a development professional with over 20 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, event production, donor engagement, and philanthropy. In her prior role as Director of Development at Young Audiences New York, she led strategic initiatives to cultivate individual giving and expand institutional support, increasing access to arts education for young people across NYC. She has held key fundraising roles at major nonprofits, including the Clinton Foundation, Safe Horizon, the International Rescue Committee (IRC), and the New York Civil Liberties Union (NYCLU), where she leveraged her expertise in relationship-building, fundraising, and corporate and institutional partnerships to execute premier fundraising events and galas.
A graduate of Wesleyan University and Brooklyn Friends School, she is also a lifelong dancer whose artistic foundation was shaped as a founding student—and later, a teaching artist—at Ifetayo Cultural Arts Academy in Brooklyn. Deeply committed to advancing equity, racial justice, and opportunity through the arts, she brings a community-centered approach to philanthropy, always seeking to connect people to meaningful causes. Born in Jamaica and raised in Brooklyn, with deep roots in Flatbush, she thrives on the creative energy of her community. Outside of work, she loves traveling, vintage shopping, and dancing, and she fully embraces the magic of Brooklyn summers—whether it’s soaking in the neighborhood’s vibrant culture, spending time with friends on the stoop, or exploring the city’s artistic pulse. A fierce fashionista, she also serves as a board member of Black Girls Sew, advocating for sustainability and creativity in fashion.
