Listening Tour

After completing the first three-year cycle of our Listening Tours, in 2025 Brooklyn Org worked with local partners to launch The People’s Pulse survey. The survey, which reached 3,000 New York City adults across all five boroughs, offered insights into the most pressing issues facing residents.

Building on The People’s Pulse, Brooklyn Org hosted two community forums to engage elected officials and community leaders in conversation around the top challenges and opportunities in the borough:

• May 2025: Deciding Brooklyn’s Future: Community Forum With Elected Officials
• October 2025: South Brooklyn Community Forum

• Industrial Zones
• Mill Basin/Marine Park/Bergen Beach
• New Lots
• Park Slope
• Columbia Street Waterfront
• Sheepshead Bay / Gerritsen Beach
