BKO presents Lesleigh Irish-Underwood in conversation with Daisy Auger-Domínguez, author of Inclusion Revolution: The Essential Guide to Dismantling Racial Inequity in the Workplace.
The fireside chat will focus on leadership, exploring some of the themes and topics of Daisy’s book, and is exclusively for Executive Directors of nonprofits based in Brooklyn. Breakfast will be provided.

Daisy Auger-Domínguez is an award-winning global c-suite executive, advisor and thought leader dedicated to building stronger, more supportive, and productive cultures.
With decades of experience driving transformations at the leading edge of business, culture, and purpose at Moody’s Investors Service, Google, Disney, and Vice Media and extensive nonprofit board leadership, Daisy is known for innovating, inspiring, and driving impact. She brings clarity, practicality, and creative solutions to complex challenges—from end-to-end HR operations, organizational effectiveness, strategic leadership and risk management to addressing burnout, navigating uncertainty and career growth, and building high-trust, effective teams. Through her advisory firm, Auger-Domínguez Ventures, Daisy partners with executives through fractional and interim CPO engagements, executive coaching, and interactive keynotes. She also advises startups and venture-backed companies on creating sustainable, people-centered solutions for the future of work. Her books, Inclusion Revolution and Burnt Out to Lit Up, provide practical strategies for building inclusive workplaces and revitalizing leadership practices.
A sought-after speaker and dynamic storyteller, Daisy has shared insights with Fortune 500 companies, global organizations, non-profits, and TEDx audiences. She has been featured in Harvard Business Review, Inc., MSNBC, and Forbes. Recognized as one of Hispanic Executive’s Top 10 Leaders and People en Español’s 25 Most Powerful Women, Daisy serves on the Board of Trustees at Bucknell University, her alma mater, and on the Hispanic C-Suite Corporate Council (HC3). She also advises the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council, Makers Advisory Board, C-Suite Coach, and PeopleTech Enterprise.
A native New Yorker who has built her career on serving New York City’s most vulnerable and underserved communities, Lesleigh “LIU” Irish-Underwood, is the first-ever Chief External Relations Officer (CXO) & Head of Brand of Vibrant Emotional Health. In this role, Irish-Underwood advances all elements of the nonprofit’s external-facing strategy, including establishing a best-in-class business unit that will encompass integrated marketing & communications, stakeholder engagement, national and state policy, fundraising & development, strategic partnerships, and social impact.
Previously, LIU brought executive-level experience and local-market insights to the MetroPlusHealth (MPH) team as its first Chief Brand & External Relations Officer, where she was responsible for the stewardship and execution of MetroPlusHealth’s brand strategy. A catalyst for creativity and collaboration, Irish-Underwood was named one of the Network Journal’s 25 Most Influential Black Women in Business in 2018. Lesleigh is a visionary leader who galvanizes change—with a passion for inspiring people and transforming high-functioning teams. LIU is the former SVP, Chief Marketing Officer for United Way of New York City, and prior to her transition to the nonprofit sector was a 25-year veteran of the consumer publishing industry, where she held leadership roles at the Knopf Publishing Group of Random House, Pearson, and Kensington Publishing.
LIU is a member of Community Board 5 in Brooklyn and an alumna of the American Express Leadership Academy/Center for Creative Leadership and the UWW Advanced Leadership Program. A sought-after conference speaker, moderator and panelist, she generously shares her insight and expertise with a cross-sector of colleagues and business communities. Lesleigh-Irish Underwood earned her B.A. from Stony Brook University, and resides in Brooklyn, NY with her husband (another Stony Brook University Seawolf), their daughter and son. She joined Brooklyn Org’s Board of Directors in February 2022.
