Celebrating the 150th Anniversary of The Legal Aid Society, presented in partnership with BRIC, Brooklyn Org, Brooklyn Book Bodega, and Booklyn.

A day uplifting community joy and connection, highlighting the history of our community caring for one another, and envisioning the Brooklyn we want to build together.

11am – 2pm

  • Live music from Building Beats DJ Pr3tty P
  • Brooklyn Book Bodega children’s book giveaways, artmaking and readings by local children’s book authors and illustrators.
  • Booklyn – Free hands on book / zine making for all ages. Materials provided to create a vision board for the future of Brooklyn you want to see.
  • Free giveaways, food, raffle prizes, and more.

1pm – 2:30pm

  • Join Brooklyn Org and The Legal Aid Society for a Community Forum for residents to share the needs of the community, solutions to community issues, and their vision of Brooklyn they want to build with local elected leaders.
