Deciding Brooklyn’s Future: Community Forum With Elected Officials

Last night, Brooklyn Org and BRIC co-hosted a community forum with elected officials to discuss the most pressing issues facing Brooklynites today. Brooklyn Org’s President & CEO Dr. Jocelynne Rainey and BRIC’s President Wes Jackson moderated the conversion, which covered the topics of  affordability, housing, immigration, mental health, and community safety.

Thank you to our community speakers John Leyva (BMT/Save 63 Tiffany St.), Kendra Chiu (North Brooklyn Angels), Ligia Guallpa (Workers Justice Project), Sada Connel (KAVI + Coro New York Leadership Fellow), and Chino Hardin (Center for Nu Leadership) and to the Councilmembers Lincoln Restler (D33), Rita Joseph (D40), Shahana Hanif (D39), and Crystal Hudson (D35) for joining us to envision Brooklyn’s future.
