The Addy Thornton Memorial Fund

Adeline Thornton, 16, died suddenly, by suicide, on April 17th, 2024.

Addy, as she was known, had an infectious smile and a personality so vibrant it would light up any room. A natural athlete, she was an excellent skier, ice skater, and tennis player who taught her friends and family how to enjoy these sports.

Addy was driven and smart, a top student and a dedicated chess player. She wanted to be a neurosurgeon and had learned the name and location of every bone in the human body by the time she was twelve. She was generous with her time, and funny—always finding humor in a serious situation. She was loved by so many who are devastated by her untimely death.

Addy leaves behind her mother and father; Jennifer Argie and Andrew Thornton, brothers David and Eiles, aunts, uncles and cousins, friends, and many admirers.
