Brenda Catalano
Chief Development Officer (She/Her)
Brenda Catalano joined Brooklyn Org in November 2024. Brenda is a dedicated nonprofit leader with nearly 20 years of experience driving positive change. With a background in strategic planning, business development, and fundraising, she has held leadership roles including Director of Development and Major Gifts Officer for a $250 million Management Service Organization, and Statewide Director for New York at a national nonprofit. In these roles, Brenda has excelled in building strong, lasting relationships with donors and partners to expand community programs.
Brenda’s deep Brooklyn roots are central to her journey. She earned her Associate’s degree from Kingsborough Community College and her Master’s in Social Work from SUNY Albany. Additionally, she holds an Executive Certificate in Nonprofit Fund Development from the University of Notre Dame and is an Alumni Fellow of the Severn Leadership Program. Brenda’s contributions have been recognized with proclamations from both the New York State Senate and the Suffolk County Legislature.
Outside of her professional life, Brenda has volunteered with Comfort Zone Camp for over 10 years, serving on advisory councils and co-chairing the NY/NJ Engagement Committee. A proud mother of five, she enjoys hiking and traveling with her husband in her free time.
