Lina Alfonso Gutiérrez

Lina Alfonso Gutiérrez joined Brooklyn Org in September 2025. Lina is a proud Brooklynite, originally from Colombia. She has called New York City home for 12 years—10 of them in Brooklyn. Before joining Brooklyn Org, Lina served as Director of Artistic Services at Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (LMCC), where she led the creative direction, strategy, and administration of LMCC’s regranting programs and artist residencies. She is a strong advocate for language access for Spanish-speaking communities and enjoys speaking Spanish whenever she can, including with her three young nephews and niece who also live in New York. In her free time, she enjoys open-water swimming at Brighton Beach and surfing in the Rockaways. Lina holds an M.A. in Arts Administration from Columbia University, as well as a B.S. in Economics and a B.A. in Visual Arts from Universidad de los Andes, Colombia.
